Pumping beats. Wild cheers. Rapt attention. 57,000 people. What looks like a rock concert from above is actually one of the largest youth-events in the country. The National Jamboree, the crown jewel of Scouting events, brings Scouts and non-scouts alike together for 10 days of inspiration, service, education and full-throttle fun in the heart of West Virginia. It’s just one of many recurring BSA events that help us reconnect and refocus on our mission.
Each year, the Boy Scouts of America organizes events that reach not only our members, alumni, and their families, but also leaders in business, youth development, and education. These events range from those that appeal to anyone looking for excitement, such as the National Jamboree, to targeted gatherings that speak to specific BSA programs. And each of these events provide brand engagement opportunities that capture the imagination of our participants.
Partner Spotlight: AT&T
Remember calling home from camp on a rusty pay phone for three rushed minutes? Life for youth has changed, and so has their expectation of connectivity. AT&T met that expectation at the 2013 National Jamboree, providing hundreds of tablets and smartphones for Scouts to use in “Connection Zones” throughout the event’s 10,000 acre property. With 10 days on site, this was a powerful opportunity for AT&T to connect with tens of thousands of event visitors.
Once every four years, over the course of 10 summer days, Scouts from all over the country gather to experience everything that is great about the Boy Scouts of America at Scouting’s flagship event, the National Jamboree. More than 57,000 Scouts, leaders, volunteers, and day visitors, attended the 2013 National Jamboree at the event’s new permanent home, The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve.

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will be held at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia during the summer of 2019. Over 40,000 Scouts, leaders and volunteers from all over the world attended the 2011 World Scout Jamboree in Sweden.

National Annual Meeting
The BSA’s National Annual Meeting is held each May and brings together thousands of local Scouting professionals, volunteers and the national staff to address new directions and initiatives. With “spark” sessions focused on how to improve the Scouting experience, this event is a great way to reach the influencers in the movement.
Top Hands is an annual meeting where Scouting professionals connect and collaborate on best practices within Scouting. It’s an exciting opportunity for fellowship, learning, team building and sharing of ideas for those who manage day-to-day affairs of local Scouting organizations.
BSA Sustainability Summit
This event brings together BSA leaders and representatives from an array of industries for four days of candid discussion, education, and collaboration between corporate leaders and today’s youth regarding sustainability. Attendees hear from experts in the field, as well as speakers who address sustainability in industry and education. In keeping with the BSA’s youth focus, young adults participate in panel discussions with industry leaders.
NATIONAL ORDER OF
THE ARROW CONFERENCE
The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the premier event of the Order of the Arrow, the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. It is Scouting's second-largest national event, with over 10,000 participants from across the country. The six-day conference includes training sessions, recreational opportunities, evening shows, and exciting programs.
OUTDOOR AND AQUATICS CONFERENCES
National and council-level programs in both outdoors and aquatics reach hundreds of thousands of Scouts each year. To ensure these programs are delivered safely and professionally, the BSA regularly holds outdoor and aquatics training conferences for our staff and volunteers.
Through the Exploring program, thousands of youth learn (among other things) valuable skills for a career in the police, fire, and EMS fields. These programs feature discipline-specific conferences, ride-alongs, career achievement and proficiency awards, training scenarios, and scholarship opportunities.
Next Connect is the BSA’s annual marketing conference and presents the latest in consumer research about what motivates parents and youth to join Scouting. Attendees learn how to make sure that each youth in their community has the opportunity to engage in the life-changing experiences that only Scouting can provide.
REGIONAL AND COUNCILS CONFERENCES
In addition to national scouting events, conferences and training seminars are held at the local and regional level as well. These events focus on youth and volunteer training and provide excellent opportunities for brand engagement.
Camporees are regionally organized camping events that are perfect showcases for Scouting’s outdoor programs. Usually including contests and demonstrations of outdoor Scouting skills along with the tried and true campfires, games and field events, camporees all across the U.S. show Scouts at their best.
